Hugh Hughes - VP and General Manager
Hugh serves as the VP and General Manager of Fixnetix Ltd and Fixnetix Inc. Hugh has more than 30 years’ experience in investment banking and the financial services sector. Until October 2005, he was CEO of the London arm of Thales Information Systems, a leading provider of consultancy, systems integration and outsourcing services. Before joining Thales, he set up ITGE, a joint venture between ITG and SGSL (global crossing). Prior to these appointments, he held the position of Chief Executive at SG Securities Ltd (SGS) for over 10 years.
Hugh started his career at Wedd Durlacher Mordaunt (WDM) in 1968 and was the youngest person to be made a partner at WDM in 1981. After four years, he left to develop Savory Milln International, where he negotiated the sale of the company to Swiss Bank Corporation (SBCI, now UBS) in 1987. Hugh has served on a number of committees, including the SBCI (UBS) Executive Committee and the New Integrated London Office Executive Committee, and he was nominated to the Council of the International Stock Exchange in 1990.
Paul Ellis - Senior Vice President of Business Development
Paul has more than 16 years’ experience working in electronic trading and market data. Paul originally started his career with Reuters PLC before moving on to become Head of UK Market Data Production for ABN AMRO. Paul’s expertise lies in developing new opportunities and new markets within the areas of complex data and trading solutions. Prior to co-founding Fixnetix, Paul was Head of UK Business for Net2s, a French financial services systems integrator. He also held a senior position with KPMG, developing new business around the application service provider (ASP) market.
Bob Fuller - Chief Administration Officer
Bob has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Fixnetix, Bob was CEO of Equiduct, a pan-European electronic equity exchange. He was also the Director of IT Strategy at Dresdner Kleinwort, where he focused on infrastructure, exchange connectivity, SWIFT connectivity and centrally-cleared products, including exchange-traded derivatives, equities and bonds.
At CSC Fixnetix, Bob looks after all contract negotiations, as well as being responsible for business administration. He is also the Compliance Officer, and takes a special interest in the regulatory changes that have an effect on CSC Fixnetix and its customers.
In addition to his work at Dresdner Kleinwort, Bob was also IT Co-Chair of the Global Straight Through Processing Association (GSTPA) and the Co-Chair of the IT sub-group for the MiFID Joint Working Group set up to evaluate MiFID legislation and its impact across Europe. Bob is still active in this space and contributes to the regulatory community in London and beyond.
Steve Hewson - Director of Operations and Service
Steve has over 20 years’ experience working on large scale managed service projects in the banking industry. After starting his career at BT with their Global Networks team, Steve then moved into operations and services for the financial services industry, working particularly closely with exchanges and on outsourcing projects with a global reach.
As the Director of Operations and Service for CSC Fixnetix, Steve is responsible for the overall delivery and following support of all services to customers.
Angelo Preci - Managing Director of Operations, North America
Angelo has over 20 years’ experience as an Information Technology Professional. He has great experience in this capacity, running IT teams for managed services providers, as well as investment banks and exchanges.
Angelo's extensive experience in managing infrastructure teams who support electronic trading and front- office businesses is a key asset to CSC Fixnetix. Because Angelo has been acting in this capacity on a global scale, he has been instrumental in growing the presence of CSC Fixnetix in North America.
Dr Marcus Perrett - Chief Technology Officer
Marcus oversees the C++, Java, and FPGA Development teams, as well as the Business Analysis and Quality Assurance teams. He leads the development of the CSC Fixnetix next generation hardware EMS system (iX-eCute), the award- winning software EMS system (iX-EMS) and the market-leading GUI command and control platform (iX-Eye).
Marcus has over 20 years’ experience working across multiple industry sectors, including defence, telecommunications and finance. He has been both a C++ and FPGA developer for over 10 years and has managed multi-disciplined engineering teams on large-scale global initiatives.
Marcus holds an EngD (PhD) in FPGA and Communication Technology from University College London (UCL) and has studied towards an MBA at London Business School (LBS). He has lectured on FPGA at Tier 1 conferences worldwide, and his work has recently been published in IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems (TCAS-II). Prior to joining Fixnetix, Marcus was Innovation Manager for a Japanese multi-national and led the development of automation, measurement and telecommunication products using hybrid, C++ and FPGA architectures.
Jason Mochine - Commercial Director
Jason has over 25 years’ experience working in trading technology and market data organisations. He began his career at Quotron Ltd and went on to Telekurs AG, managing client relationships and increasing revenue through sales. Jason joined Fixnetix in 2008, after spending 14 years with Reuters PLC, lastly as Head of Account Management for the UK and Ireland.
As Commercial Director, Jason is responsible for the company’s overall commercial activities and driving business growth globally.
Shaun Jackson - Director of Finance
Shaun Jackson (ACCA, MBA) is the Director of Finance for CSC Fixnetix, as well as being the Company Secretary. Shaun is responsible for the overall control of any financial transactions and accountancy matters within CSC Fixnetix. He is a qualified chartered accountant, with over 10 years’ experience working in finance and accountancy.
Shaun joined Fixnetix in 2010, and was appointed to the positions of Director of Finance and Company Secretary in June 2014. Prior to joining Fixnetix, Shaun worked for one of the world’s leading payment processing organisations, where he held several different finance roles.
