Fixnetix Generating Growth on an International Scale

London and New York, 26th May 2016 -

Fully seven months since Fixnetix became a CSC company, the business is charting its course for long term growth following a successful transition from independent start up to one that is backed by the full force of a global powerhouse in IT solutions. 

Following significant investment in upgrading the network in North America between the key financial centres , in Q3 2015 Fixnetix hired Ephraim Rivera to be the Vice President of Sales for North America. He was joined in April 2016 by Paul Zinone, who will be the Sales Director for the region.

Both come from a strong background in sales and low latency trading systems, Ephraim most recently as Business Development Director at IDC 7ticks and Paul as Vice President of Sales at Pico Quantitate Trading. Their experience will be put to good use as they are charged with growing the revenues of Fixnetix in the US and Canada.

International growth is also on the cards in the Asia-Pacific region, with the hiring of Simon Coombes in April 2016 to be Director of Sales based in Tokyo. Simon joins Fixnetix from TORA Trading Services, where he was Vice-President of Sales for Japan. As the acquisition by CSC brings with it global opportunities, Fixnetix recognises the importance of having capabilities put in place to manage clients on a more regional basis, in order to provide a stronger understanding of the local capital markets landscape and the challenges that clients face.

Also, 2016 has seen new additions to the team in London as well. Fixnetix is pleased to announce that Simon McDowell has joined as the Sales Director for the EMEA region. Simon previously held the position of Global Sales Operations Director at Ullink, and prior to this, senior leadership roles at NYSE Technologies and Fidessa.

Karen Love, who in the past has held senior posts at Ullink and Fidessa, has joined Fixnetix as an Account Director. Nick Andrews, who most recently held a post in eFX sales at Thomson Reuters, joins as a Sales Specialist in FX. In recent years, as the foreign exchange industry has turned progressively towards being dominated by electronic trading, there has been a significant increase in the number of FX trading firms looking for managed hosting and ultra-low latency solutions. Nick’s experience in the industry will help Fixnetix make substantial inroads into the foreign exchange space. In another hire, James Beeken joins the firm from Colt in the UK focused on the front office managed services areana.

Fixnetix has been hiring across a number of departments to ensure the capacity to deal with bigger, fully managed, fully outsourced deals. These are becoming the ‘new normal’ as investment banks seek to improve efficiency and respond to increasing regulation, whilst not negatively affecting the performance of their front office IT systems. The Development, Networks, Server Operations and Service Delivery teams have all taken on additional staff in recent months to cope with the companys’ growth.
